“Going on a trip”

Trip leader think of a “rule” and tells the group she’s going on a trip and bringing an item that plays by the “rule”.

For example if the rule is “made of wood”, someone could say “I want to come and I’m bringing a hat”. The leader would then say “I’m sorry, you can’t come.” If someone says “I want to come and I’m bringing a pencil”, the leader would say “You can come!”

The goal of the game is for the other travelers to figure out the rule.

“Guess in 10”

The starting person think of an item in a category. For example, the category could be animals, and the animal would be a zebra.

The category is shared with the group, but the item is not.

The group takes turns asking “yes/no” questions about the item. Once 10 questions are up, the group as a whole guesses what the item is.

“I spy”

One person in the group silently picks an item that everyone can see.

They then describe the item in one, simple way.

For example, it could be “I spy something yellow,” or “I spy something soft”.

The group then takes turns guessing what the item is.

Story Building

One person starts a story with a sentence, such as, "Once upon a time, there was a dragon who loved to play soccer." Each person then takes turns adding a sentence to continue the story.
