Materials Needed

-Milk (preferably whole milk)
-Food coloring
-Dish soap
-A shallow dish or plate
-Cotton swab

Instructions

  1. Pour milk into the shallow dish, covering the bottom.
  2. Add a few drops of different food coloring to the milk.
  3. Dip a cotton swab in dish soap, then gently touch it to the surface of the milk.
  4. Watch as the colors swirl and mix!

Explanation: The dish soap breaks the surface tension of the milk and interacts with the fat molecules, causing the food coloring to swirl.
