Ingredients


-1 cup of white sugar
-½ cup of unsalted butter
-2 eggs
-2-3 teaspoons of vanilla extract
-1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
-1 ¾ teaspoon baking powder
-½ cup of milk


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Grease either a 9 inch square pan, a ten inch circle pan, or put 12 muffin liners in a cupcake tin.
  2. Cream butter and sugar together.
  3. Add one egg at a time and mix. 
  4. Add vanilla into the batter and mix. 
  5. In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder together. 
  6. Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients while mixing. 
  7. Add milk to the batter and stir until smooth. 
  8. Add to your plan of choice and bake for 30-40 minutes. 
  9. Frost the cake with your favorite icing: vanilla, chocolate or strawberry are good choices. 
  10. Add sprinkles if you have them!
